Sheet printing

For printing, we exclusively use UV colours optimised for printing on rigid materials. The advantage of these colours is excellent adherence, high resilience against mechanical damage and very good results with transmitted light. The print is made in a non-contact manner, and the sheets are fixed using negative pressure. Thus, even delicate materials, like for example display or packaging boxes of finely corrugated cardboard in high quality, can be printed with a special appliance for fixation, even in very large formats.

Mostly used for incident light are the already mentioned various types of cardboard, plus hard and soft foam sheets like Kapa® or Forex®, as well as aluminium composite panels. For cost-effective short-term outdoor applications, hollow-chamber multiwall sheets are often chosen. Beside these sheets, which are printed in large quantities, however, there is a high number of individual client requests, which we are delighted to realise. Direct printing on wooden panels for the furniture industry (e.g. children’s room furniture), where simple wooden shelves receive the look of mahogany, palisander, etc., or printing on tiles, which subsequently are baked, which enables complete individualisation of wet rooms, etc. Since the white colour can be pre-printed with every print, printing on dark or black panels and tiles is possible as well. Almost nothing is impossible.

For transmitted light applications, predominantly glass, impact-resistant polycarbonate and acrylic glass are used for the most different areas of application. Due to the possibility of pre- or even post-printing in white, any appearance can be chosen. Print behind glass with post-printing in white, for example, results in an unsurpassed quality with simultaneous protection of the print from the front. Compared to the conventional method with the print on film, which then is laminated onto the substrate and finally still covered with a protective film, the possibility of the mentioned print behind glass not only results in a visually higher quality, but this method of production is even more cost-effective, since less work steps are required.
