Trevision - products - digital print - materials - textiles

Principally, here we differentiate between UV printing and sublimation printing. The differences:

UV printing is performed with 100 % solvent-free colours, which following printing are cured with UV light and result in a very homogenous and dense colour application. Since with the UV curing the print becomes matt, this production technology is excellently suited, if a reflection of ambient light is to be avoided. I.e. in architecture, in the shop and trade fair area, TV studios, etc. For transmitted light applications, too, highest possible quality is achieved with this technology.

For sublimation printing, fixation of the textile colours is performed in a calender using heat (evaporation). Thus, the material remains soft and flowing (with UV printing it gets a little harder) and the fabric characteristics in regards to the surface are maintained. Thus, for example, a print on satin also appears glossy, just as the surface of the material. This printing technology is more complex and also takes longer than the UV technology, which also involves slightly higher prices.

As to the materials, there are hardly any limitations for the desired areas of application: furnishing fabrics for the shop or trade fair area – with and without backlighting, light-blocking fabrics, which prevent transmitted light, acoustic fabrics, which reduce the noise level in the room, fire-proof glass fabrics with A2 certification for special areas of application at airports, in theatres, etc. Carpets, too, meanwhile can be excellently printed with the UV print for short- and medium-term applications. Floor and wall coverings of vinyl are available for long-term applications in scratch-resistant versions.

To this group of materials, too, applies: tell us what you are looking for and we will offer you the best solution for that.
